The Learning and Skills Mentor Apprenticeship is a Level 4 qualification designed to prepare you to support learners of all ages and levels in developing within a new work role. You will guide individuals and groups towards agreed goals, working within ethical and legal frameworks to ensure high standards of mentoring practice.

Apprenticeship Details

  • Level: 4

  • Duration: 12 months plus an end point assessment period of 3 months

  • Entry requirements: GCSE English and Maths or equivalent must be completed during the apprenticeship if not already achieved

  • Assessment methods:

    • Observation with questions (minimum two hours plus five questions)

    • Professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio (60 minutes plus eight questions)

  • Grading: Fail, Pass, Merit, Distinction
